Alois Lukan and Olga Meditz grew up in neighboring farms in a mountainous and rural area called Gottchee in Austria. Years later, after they respectively emigrated to Canada and New York, they met up again and married. After raising their family, they found what is now Lukan’s Farm in Pennsylvania — reminiscent of their European homeland with rolling hills, rich soil for gardening, and miles of countryside far from the bustling city, There the Lukans family continues to produce this lovely, wildflower honey — rich in flavor with a toothsome texture.
